The Arsenale of Venice
The Venice the Boat Show is hosted by an excellent setting: the Arsenale. It was born in 1104 as a state shipyard by order of the Serenissima. It was inaugurated with the aim of building the ships for the defense and for the expansion of the maritime routes of Venice. Shortly after, the Arsenal became the scene of great progress in the field of naval art.
