November – For more than three centuries, every year on November 21, the pilgrimage to the Madonna della Salute Church to give thanks and light candles to the Virgin Mary led by the Patriarch and the civil authorities of the city has been renewed.
The festival was established in memory of the liberation from the plague in 1631 and the subsequent vow by the Doge to obtain the intercession of the Virgin Mary.
